CAMBER !!!!!! Oh YEAH baby !!!!

Early start to dodge the traffic. Wind started to fill in then settled at sensible strength.

RichC as ever led the charge with Robster, Tim Bass & Judo John. USurf was close on their heels. Rich is usually a good guide for what I should use, and he went for 5.3m on his (my old) Allwave 92 .... so I made my own edumacated decision and went 5.9m Duke on the Freewave 95 ;-)

Gutted rocked up as I was about to head over and was as confused as ever given he was too lazy to walk over and check it out for himself before heading back over with kit.

For a good hour or so, I had definately made the right call. Then it filled in a bit so I just tweaked the rigging a bit to suit and carried on. It was a good 2.5 hours or so before I started to feel the need for refreshments, and hence have an excuse to change down.

Conditions were really fun, despite the masses of jellyfish visiting our playground. Gutted commented that I must have the perfect set up and went on to say that he thought i was in a zone of my own ... I think he was being complimentary ?!?!? I was pretty much heading out, hunting jump ramps for air time, punching upwind, then heading back in aiming to wiggle on anything ressembling a wave. Gotta love that freewave 95 for its wave riding ability ... made me look good for sure :-)

When I eventually changed down, Rich had already gone for the 4.7m, but I opted to just drop to 5.3m and stuck with the freewave 95 for rest of the session.

Body gave out around 5pm .... packed up, hiked back to the van ... caught breath and re-hydrated again, then home smiling & aching in equal proportions.

CAMBER ... love the sailing, but the hiking was a killer today !!!
